Demister Applications
Where mist eliminators are used, and what they do for product quality, emissions and equipment protection.
Demisters recover product, protect compressors, burners and catalysts from liquid carry-over, and keep stacks within emission limits. They are found in almost every gas–liquid separation step in a plant.
Typical results: lower product loss and higher purity in evaporators and columns, smaller knock-out drums for the same duty, and cleaner gas to compressors and fuel systems.

Typical Installations
Vertical Separators & KO Drums
Horizontal or vertical pads above the inlet catch carry-over before the gas outlet.
Packed Towers
A pad at the top of the column stops solvent or absorbent loss with the overhead gas.
Fractionating Towers
Pads in the overhead and between sections improve product purity and reduce entrainment.
In-Line Gas Scrubbers
Compact scrubbers on gas lines protect compressors, meters and burners.
